Reassurance & Clarity

Common Questions

Find straightforward answers about offline functionality, security setups, data ownership, and why we build calm, privacy-first software.

Section 1

Privacy & Security

Reassurance on your data ownership and offline architecture.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Every contact, note, course log, and follow-up record resides strictly inside the app database sandbox local to your phone. We do not use central cloud databases.

Does Anubandha require internet?

No. Core features—importing contacts, organizing course lists, scheduling daily check-ins, and saving notes—operate 100% offline without needing a network signal.

Does the app track users?

Zero tracking. Anubandha is built without telemetry, background listeners, or third-party analytics SDKs. Your seva routines are yours alone.

Is login required?

No login, no passwords, no signup screens, and no OTP recovery headaches. Open the app and begin—like a notebook, not a platform.

What happens if I change or lose my phone?

Since we do not store your data on cloud servers, we cannot recover it for you. We highly recommend using the built-in Local Backup feature to export encrypted file backups regularly to your personal cloud or flash drive.

Can I backup and restore my data?

Yes. You can generate encrypted local backup files (.json / .vcf) via native share sheets, and import those files to another phone to restore details in seconds.

Usage & Scenarios

Understanding how features map to real-world teacher requirements.

Can I import contacts in bulk?

Yes. You can import CSV files and Excel spreadsheets directly from your local files, mapping incoming column headers easily using customized profile templates.

Can I organize students by course?

Yes. You can associate contacts directly with specific courses and instructorship records, complete with location tags and programmatic dates.

Can I use the app during international travel?

Absolutely. Because the app runs entirely on local database nodes, it responds instantly without roaming delays, foreign SIM configuration hassles, or data charges.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Anubandha has native platform-consistent mobile layouts compiled for both iOS and Android environments.

Can multiple teachers share the same data?

Since data is device-owned, there is no automatic live cloud synchronization. However, teachers can easily share course mapping configurations and export contact lists to coordinate seva together.

How does feedback compilation work?

You generate a short, secure form link. When a student fills in their details online, they can show a dynamic QR code on their screen. You scan it using the app camera, and it imports their changes instantly—completely offline.

Does Anubandha support quick gestures like swipes and long presses?

Yes, fully! Built strictly according to Apple iOS Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and Android Material Design, Anubandha utilizes fluid gestures to accelerate your daily workflow. Swiping a contact row in lists reveals quick actions (like instant Call, Message, or WhatsApp), while long-pressing displays a rich, tactile context menu with haptic feedback to log check-in outcomes or manage tags instantly without switching screens.

Can I dictate check-in remarks instead of typing them?

Yes, absolutely! The Interact remarks section features a Voice Dictation (Speech-to-Text) button. Simply tap the microphone icon next to the notes field to speak. The audio is transcribed in real-time, completely locally and privately on your device.

Can I share sheets or files directly from other mobile apps to Anubandha?

Yes. You can share `.csv`, `.xlsx`, or `.aef` files directly from Gmail attachments, WhatsApp files, or local storage using your phone's native Share Sheet. Selecting Anubandha launches the app and opens the offline import preview screen instantly.

How do I clean up duplicate contact records or assign tags in bulk?

Long-press any contact card in your list to enter multi-select mode. Select multiple records to perform bulk actions (like bulk tag assignment or deletion), or merge their details. Tapping Merge opens an interactive comparison view to choose conflicting fields and consolidate contact histories.

Does Anubandha support Dark Mode and accessibility standards?

Yes. Anubandha has a premium, high-contrast Dark Mode styling that is gentle on the eyes. We have also enlarged hit targets for tag filters and navigation buttons to ensure a comfortable and accessible touch interface.

Section 3

Philosophy & Values

Why we choose digital minimalism and offline architecture.

Why was Anubandha created?

To provide teachers with a quiet, calm digital notebook born from lived experience—designed entirely to nurture meaningful human connections without the distractions of modern SaaS platforms.

Why is the app offline-first?

We believe relationships should not depend on signal bars. Working offline respects student trust and protects communities from data exploitation.

How does this support sangha growth?

Growth is not just metric numbers—it is continuity. Quietly reminding teachers of birthdays or helping them coordinate regular check-ins encourages students to stay inspired and volunteers to feel connected.

Section 4

Common Concerns

Addressing hesitation and keeping technology human-first.

Will my students receive spam?

Never. Anubandha has no automated messaging servers. The app only draft-stages calls, WhatsApp threads, or SMS prompts on your phone—letting you interact with care and respect, one person at a time.

Do I need technical knowledge?

None. We designed the interface to have a near-zero learning curve. Open the app, import a student sheet, and begin simply.

What if I prefer simple paper notebooks?

Anubandha is designed to feel just like a digital notebook. It provides the same quiet, calm presence, but saves you from scattered papers with offline sorting, birthday reminders, and search capabilities.

Will this become another distracting platform?

No. We built Anubandha as a calm, quiet utility that quietly disappears into service. There are no algorithmic feeds, infinite scrolls, or dopamine traps.
